Women's Prong Set Wedding Bands
Prong set bands hold each diamond in individual claws rather than in a channel or in beading. More light reaches each stone from the sides, which makes a prong set band the brightest of the diamond band styles.
Why prong set
Because the metal touches the stone at only a few points, more of each diamond is visible and more light passes through it. Shared prong designs, where adjacent stones sit in the same claws, take this further and create an almost continuous line of diamond with minimal metal showing.
Wearing and maintaining
Prongs are the most exposed setting type, so they benefit from an annual check. Catching a loose prong early is a small job, catching it late means replacing a stone. We check and re-tip prongs in house.
