Selling jewelry is the easy part. What separates one jeweler from another is everything that happens afterward, and everything that happens for people who are not buying at all.
Diamond Designs has offered the full range since 2002: repair, appraisal, custom design, and buying. Most of it starts the same way, with you bringing something in and us telling you honestly what we think.
What we do
Jewelry repair
Ring resizing, prong retipping, chain and clasp repair, stone replacement, rhodium replating, pearl restringing and engraving.
Free assessment, a written quote before any work begins, and an honest answer when a repair is not worth doing.
Appraisals
Insurance valuations, updates to existing documents, and estate valuations, by a certified appraiser and gemologist.
Examined at the counter while you wait. The written report is emailed within seven days, with rush service available.
Buying and trade in
Gold, natural diamonds, luxury watches, sterling silverware, coins and full estates.
Free itemized evaluation done in front of you, store credit or a check, and no obligation to accept.
Custom design
For the piece that does not exist yet, or the heirloom that deserves a setting someone will actually wear.
You approve three CAD designs before anything is cast. The design fee is credited toward the purchase.
Watch service
Battery replacement and watch band sizing, done here at the store, usually while you wait.
Complimentary, always
Cleaning and polishing, and prong and setting inspection, for any piece bought from us, for as long as you own it.
No appointment, no charge, no limit. Bring it in once or twice a year.

We look at it with you
Examined at the counter, in front of you, with what we find explained in plain language. This part is free whatever it turns into.

You get a number and a timeline
A written quote for repair work, an itemized offer if you are selling, or a price and a schedule for a custom piece. Nothing proceeds without your word.

You decide
Go ahead, think about it, or take your piece home. All three are normal and none of them costs you anything.

You deal with the owner
Diamond Designs is independently owned and has been since 2002. There is no regional manager and no script. The person answering your question is the person who bought the inventory.
A GIA graduate on site matters most in the situations on this page: telling you what a stone actually is, what a repair is really worth, and when the honest answer is to do nothing.
Nothing happens in a back room
Testing, weighing and examination all happen at the counter where you can watch. When work goes out to our trade workshop, we say so, and you deal with us from drop off to return.
The things that get hidden elsewhere are the things worth watching. That is why we do them in front of you.
