These terms govern your use of dia-designs.com and any purchase made through it. By using the site or placing an order you accept them.

The site is operated by Diamond Designs LLC, 500 Boston Post Road, Orange, CT 06477.

Eligibility

You must be at least eighteen years old, or the age of majority in your state, to purchase from this site. By ordering, you confirm that you are.

Products and Descriptions

We describe every item as accurately as we can. Even so:

•     Photographs are representative. Natural gemstones and diamonds vary in colour, inclusion pattern and brilliance from stone to stone, and no photograph captures a stone exactly.

•     Screen calibration affects how metal and stone colour appear. A white gold ring on one monitor is not the same white as on another.

•     Carat weights, gram weights, dimensions and finger sizes are approximate and subject to normal manufacturing tolerance.

•     Where a piece is handmade, small variations between one piece and another are a feature of the work, not a defect.

If a stone or piece matters to you in a specific way, contact us before ordering and we will describe the actual item you would receive.

Pricing

Prices are shown in United States dollars and may change without notice. Precious metal and diamond markets move daily, and our prices move with them.

Quotes for custom work and special orders are valid for seven (7) days. After that a quote may need to be refreshed to reflect current material costs.

We make every effort to price accurately, but errors occur. If an item is listed at an incorrect price we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund, whether or not the order has been confirmed and payment taken. We will contact you before doing so.

Availability and Order Acceptance

We sell the same inventory in our store, on this website and on other marketplaces. An item may therefore sell in person while it is still listed online.

Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a completed contract. We accept your order when we ship it. We may decline or cancel any order, including after payment has been taken, where an item is unavailable, where a pricing error has occurred, or where we suspect fraud. In any of those cases you receive a full refund promptly, and we will contact you to source an alternative if you want one.

Custom and Made to Order Work

•     A design fee of $250 is charged to begin design work. It covers your initial CAD and two rounds of revisions, three designs in total.

•     The design fee is non-refundable. If you proceed with the piece, it is credited in full toward the purchase price.

•     A deposit of 50% of the total price is due when you approve the final design and production begins. The balance is due on completion.

•     Revisions beyond the two included rounds are quoted separately before any additional work is done.

•     Once production has begun a custom order cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded, because the piece cannot be resold.

•     Timelines given for custom work are estimates made in good faith. Where a firm date matters, tell us at the first consultation.

Payment

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is processed by third party providers under their own terms. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.

Connecticut sales tax is applied where required and calculated at checkout.

Purchasing and Trade-In Transactions

Diamond Designs is a licensed precious metals dealer in Connecticut. When we purchase or accept jewelry in trade, state law requires us to record proof of your identity and details of the transaction, and prohibits payment in cash. Payment is made by check, or you may take store credit. We do not purchase from anyone under eighteen unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Shipping, Returns and Warranty

Delivery is governed by our Shipping Policy. Returns and refunds are governed by our Return and Refund Policy. Defect coverage is governed by our warranty terms. Each of those documents forms part of these terms.

Appraisals and Valuations

Any appraisal or valuation we provide is an estimate of replacement value for insurance purposes at the time it is issued. It is not a guarantee of resale value, market value, or the price any party will pay for the item in future.

Third Party Brands

We are an authorised retailer for the designer brands we carry. All brand names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Products from those brands may carry their own warranty terms, which apply in addition to ours.

Intellectual Property

All content on this site, including photography, product descriptions, design work, text and layout, belongs to Diamond Designs LLC or to our suppliers and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce, republish or use it commercially without written permission.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the site to break any law, to interfere with its operation or security, to scrape or harvest data, to submit false information, or to transmit malicious code. We may suspend access where any of these occur.

User Submitted Content

If you send us reviews, photographs, ideas or other material, you grant us a non-exclusive right to use, reproduce and display it in connection with our business, and you confirm that it is yours to give. We may remove any submitted content at our discretion.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The site is provided on an as-is basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the item concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, and any dispute is subject to the courts of that state.

Changes

We may update these terms at any time. The version in force is the one published on this page at the moment you place an order.
