Stud Earrings
The single most worn earring style, and the one most people buy first. Our stud selection ranges from small everyday diamonds to substantial solitaires, plus pearl, gemstone and cluster designs.
Carat weight and appearance
Stud weight is quoted as total weight for the pair, so a one carat pair is two half carat stones. A well cut half carat stud sits at roughly 5mm and reads as a comfortable everyday size. Above one carat total, the difference becomes clearly visible across a room.
Backings
Friction backs are the most common and the easiest to use. Screw backs are far more secure and are worth the extra step on anything of meaningful value. La pousette and locking backs sit somewhere in between. We can convert most studs to screw backs if you prefer.
