Pearls are the only gem grown by a living creature, and they remain the most classic earring material there is. Our pearl selection includes studs, drops and diamond accented designs in freshwater, Akoya and South Sea pearls.
Understanding pearl quality
Luster is the single most important quality factor: a good pearl reflects a sharp image rather than a soft glow. After that, look at surface cleanliness, roundness, size and how well pearls are matched in a pair. Nacre thickness determines how long the pearl will keep that luster.
Caring for pearls
Pearls are soft and porous, so put them on last after perfume and hairspray and wipe them with a soft cloth after wearing. Never clean them in an ultrasonic machine. Strung pearls should be restrung every couple of years with regular wear, which is a service we offer.
