Some considerations for you to think about in advance of your appointment:
Each piece of custom design jewelry is made up of several elements. It is these elements in combination that determines the attractiveness of the final result. In order to help you to determine the eventual result of your special piece, please consider the following: The basic elements of design are:
COLOR, SHAPE, TEXTURE, SPACE, LINE
Color is, likely the most powerful of the design tools.
Monochromatic (single color): play with different tones or shades of the same color to make your piece more appealing
Colors that sit next to each other on the color wheel: choose one to be the dominant color and the others next to it to complement the design.
Colors that sit opposite each other on the color wheel: Used to form a dramatic, high energy piece.
Shapes:
Organic shapes often found in Amber and Pearls create a sense of unpredictability and freedom
Geometric shapes: circles, rectangles squares – create a sense of complexity.
Repeating color or shape: creates harmony and rhythm. Try making every third bead in a necklace or tone in a halo the same color or shape, or maybe repeat a stand-out shape or color at intervals throughout your piece.
Graduating shape or color adds a smooth and peaceful feel to your design.
Symmetry adds balance.
Contrast can add a point of interest
